The Big Boy Bed (Dec 31, 2010)

I really wanted to move the crib out of Dirk and Mack's room, so today we tried Mack him in his big boy bed. Yippee, he did so good in one day, that the next day (1-1-11) I took down the crib. The only problem now is that he thinks he can get in and out of bed (no matter what time of night or morning) it is without telling Chad or I. One day he got up out of bed at 5am and when Dirk woke up, he came and told us that Mack wasn't in his bed. He was downstairs, on the couch, watching TV.

Going to the movie Yogi Bear (Dec 30, 2010)

This is Mack's first experience at the movie theatre. Dirk had been to one other movie. Here we are when we first walked into the theatre. The big question...how will they behave?

The answer to the question at the beginning...they did pretty good, moved here and there for a little while, but for the most part, I would say they would sit well through another one.

Ice Skating (Dec 28, 2010)

John and Amy (mostly Amy) thought it would be fun to take Dirk and Mack ice skating, so they went out and rented skates. Needless to say, it only lasted about 10 minutes (if that) before the boys said, no way! Oh well, we'll have to try again another time.
