Dirk is excited that it is his last day of school!

Dirk in his 3P Classroom for the last time.

Thanks to Mrs. Kuhnau and Mrs. Kramer for a great school year.

This is the conversation that Dirk and I had when they woke up from their nap.
Where should we go for your special day? Dirk says we need to go to someon'e house that is really special. Well, where do you want to go? I know, let's go to Amy & John's? No, we can't drive there tonight. Oh, let's go to Little Papa & Grandma's house. No, they aren't home tonight. Ok, let's go to the Amy's house that has 2 little boys. Oh my goodness no, that is too far away for us to drive. But we can go this way and then go that way and we'll be there. No, I'm sorry buddy that is really to far to drive. Let's go to Big Papa & Grandma's house. But they aren't home right now. Then I say that I think we should go to the big farm that has our favorite ice cream. Ok, I guess we can go there.
Dirk likes this ice cream so much that he couldn't even look up for me to take a picture.

Brock by the cows at Weber's farm.

Even though they weren't home when we first had the conversation, we were able to go by Big Papa and Grandma's house after ice cream. What a good way to end our special day.
Dirk's new wheels for Papa and Grandma Vanderwyst's house. He's a stylish little man on this bike. Lookin' good buddy!

Mack and Brock in the same vehicle? Ahhhhhhhhh! This could be extremely dangerous. They are the two terrors of the house. Look out everyone!

Mack is finally big enough to drive the gator. Sometimes he gets a little crazy with the steering wheel, but for the most part he does an ok job driving.

We received our caterpillars today! Now we wait and watch to see what beautiful butterflies they will become.

Dirk is looking pretty cool in his getup. Here he is the first one to check out the very little caterpillars in the cup.

Brock just wants to hold them and had a fit when I took them out of his hand.

Mack checking out the caterpillars. They are pretty small and don't do much yet.

Here's to Amy Jo

Per Amy Jo, I have not been doing a very good job at keeping the blog up-to-date. So, I vow to try much harder to show updated pictures of my most adorable boys (aka monsters or brat pack). Thanks Amy Jo for keeping on me about this. So, make sure to check out the new pictures I just put on. It sure was a beautiful day to spend time on the farm.

Spending some time at Great-Grandma's. Playing on the big hill in back of the barn. Sure does bring back a lot of good memories for me (mom).

Here is Mack at the top of the hill, starting his way down. It doesn't take him long before he is at full speed. They sure did use up a lot of energy going up and down.

Taking a ride on Great-Grandma's calf.

Dirk and Mack at the top of the big hill. I made them stop to get a picture before running down.

Dirk started the monkey business of hanging from the tree branch. And he is getting so big that it is not real easy to hold on to him this way.

Mack's turn at being a monkey, nothing different from any other day. Oops, that's not right, he's a monster every other day.
Brock being a monkey and hanging from the tree branch. He is a strong little man, Grandma was able to let go and he would hold himself up.

Brock having a moment...just wanted me to pick him up, not take a picture of him crying.
