Mack's Friend

Mack and Hopper (that's what he names every frog he finds).
This kiss grosses me out, but he thinks it is hilarious.
I think he may be a frog whisperer.

Dirk's First Motorcycle Ride

Dirk is now big enough to ride on the motorcycle with daddy.  I don't know who was more excited, Daddy or Dirk...either way they both had fun.
 So stinkin' cute!
 My helmet fits his head.
 What a great picture!
 Holding on tight.
Waiting for dad.

Dad's Haircut

Beard is to burly and hair is to scragly, time for it to be gone.
A 3 year old with a clippers and a 4 year old with a scissors, pretty trustworthy of daddy.

Mack was very precise, grab hair with one hand and cut with the other.
 Nice bald spot.

 Dirk looks a little nervous.
 Total concentration!
Another great bald spot on the other side.
Chad thought this is how he should look, but I DON"T THINK SO!

Ok, so I know I am in trouble with the two Amy's because I have not done a good job on updating this, so here are a few new things in the Vanderwyst household.  First, Mack has graduated from 4K and is going to be off to Kindergarten...Dirk is going to be in 1st grade and I just can't believe it.  He is very loved by his teachers and that makes me so happy.  Next, Dirk finished his first year in the Varsho baseball league and although most of the time got rained out, he still did excellent and it was so fun to watch him.  We are now on to baseball for the Parks and Rec dept where Mack will be joining him.  Mack started riding a bike without training wheels and for the first time ever, was the first one home from a walk (where usually Dirk is and we all know that Mack is usually last because he runs on Mack time).  But with 2 wheels, I see Mack time being out-of-style.  Then, yep, it happened...the first of many teeth to fall out has happened and it was Dirk's.  So we made a Tooth Fairy pillow out of blue duct tape and the Tooth Fairy came and left a fun surprise.  I know there are no pictures for the house yet, but they are to come.  Making a few more paint changes and then I will get pictures on here.  As far as Brock goes, he seems to be very challenging these days and I am looking forward to him starting a 3 year old preschool in the fall with his Best Friend Cailey.
